Job Focus

Acquisition of New Business for all divisions within McDaniels Marketing, as well as our digital division, McD Digital to include website development, content management systems, animation and games, social media, SEO/SEM, and more. This position will also focus on selling traditional agency services including marketing strategy, branding, advertising, public relations, marketing research and exhibits.

New clients and new relationships are imperative. Further definition consists of researching potential clients within agency client/budget size requirements, contacting these potential clients through mail, phone and personal solicitation. A key element to fulfillment of goals is working together with the director of account services, media, and creative team to develop the concepts and plans necessary to win the account or project. 

New Business Acquisition Process

Account/Project Management

You will get to know every part of our client’s brand, strategy, and tactical plan. 

Track and work directly on all proposals, new business pitches and projects for assigned clients. Follow up with clients regarding layout and copy changes, etc., and take client calls and emails. Responsible for providing clients with answers to specific questions within realm of knowledge, researching those that are not known off-hand and responding to client requests in an appropriate, timely manner. Attend outside functions and planning meetings with clients and agency teams. 

Team Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with others on creative team (art directors, creative director, writers, designers, and account executives) to achieve the client goals.

Marketing the Agency:
Take ownership in marketing the agency. This includes overseeing our social/digital strategy, resumes/new business materials, conference schedule, public relations and more.
