SEO & Web Specialist
Reports to: Web Developer Director
Primary responsibility: Servicing clients through assisting with troubleshooting and researching solutions to problems with websites, as well as coordination of web development projects including building, and maintaining websites and landing pages. Managing SEO programs including blogging, keyword research, backlinking strategy and reporting. Technical abilities in software and the internet to help assist our website project manager are essential in this position. Attention to detail is extremely important.
Secondary responsibility: Assisting business development onsite presentations to help market McD Digital services to prospects and existing clients.
Location: Work in Pekin, IL office with one work from home day per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Role:
- Website development, trouble shooting and search engine optimization
- Project management including training and customer support
- Analyzes web metrics and provides expertise on optimization and online marketing
- Collaborates with multiple departments in proposal creation and cost estimation
- Supports business development with client presentations
- Performs statistical analysis and reporting functions including recommendations
- Research new developments in the online industry
- Assist clients and staff with website content, data entry, and page building
Other Duties:
- Taking part in presentations to help close business
- Create custom CMS system tip sheets for clients as needed
- Servicing customers to keep them satisfied by reaching their goals
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Advertising, Marketing, Website Development or Related Field
- Project management experience in the marketing field
- Familiarity with project management techniques
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Understanding and experience with web technologies, specifically content management systems and SEO
- Knowledge of internet tools, trends, and user experience concepts
- Inherently motivated and organized with a “can-do” attitude
- Flexible and creative
- Team player, willing to take direction
- Able to multi-task
Physical Requirements:
- Traveling up and down stairs within the office.
- Looking at computer screen for long periods of time.
- Ability work at home at times with consistent internet access speed
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Multitasking, solving or referring problems to various members of the team, also run errands.
- Traveling to and from clients with some overnights necessary at times.
- Support at tradeshows and conferences with opportunities to speak.
- Ability to manage stress
