Visual Communications Designer & Developer – Print, Digital & Web
Reports to Art Director
The objective of this position is to imagine, design, craft and develop visual communication solutions for all types of clients through print, digital, video and web. The VCD is a specialist who thrives on exploring new ways to create and express our clients’ brand messaging that attract attention and inspire and motivate the target audience to action.
Job Duties
- Review/research desired brand design and messaging goals for each client
- Craft mood boards and concepts
- Develop final solutions for branding, print, digital, direct mail, collateral, displays, websites and video including animation
- Develop/build out websites using the tools at the agency's disposal as well as others that you recommend that we acquire
- Continual focus on improving creative edge, process and efficiency
- Partner with creative and account service team members to achieve the results of our clients
- Take in individual and team achievements and celebrate them while sharing knowledge and challenges with other McD teammates
Skills and Education Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Graphic or Digital Design or related field or equivalent visual design and management experience required
- Must possess a high level of skill with the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier and After Effects as well as FIGMA
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals and typography for both print and digital. Must have the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions
- Website development experience and WordPress development skills
- A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, digital platforms and creative process
- Ability to lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and website design including desktop and mobile
- Ability to process and evaluate creative decisions both internally and by clients
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
