McDaniels Marketing worked alongside the Visit Milwaukee team to completely re-envision the 2024 Visit Milwaukee Guide. Our team turned an average visitors guide into one that blended traditional partner content with fresh writing and engaging imagery to celebrate the world-class destination. McD’s storytelling approach to writing the 124 pages included research along with interviewing Visit Milwaukee staff and local partners to craft clever messaging that enticed visitors and locals alike to discover all Milwaukee has to offer. This included in-depth sections on the more than 100 festivals hosted in the area annually, local shopping, family fun, nightlife adventures, and the unveiling of the redesigned largest and most flexible convention center, the Baird Center (formerly Wisconsin Center). Additionally, highlighting the new season of Bravo’s Top Chef, which was filmed in Milwaukee, was a big priority. McD wrote an 18-page dining section dedicated to showcasing the unique culinary experiences that can only be enjoyed in and around Milwaukee. This included featuring the chefs appearing on Top Chef along with three personal recipes from local chefs that celebrate Milwaukee’s diverse food and restaurant culture. Three unique covers to highlight the catalyst year were also produced, including the Fresh City Vibes cover, the City of Festivals cover and the Culinary Capital of the Midwest cover.
